Course Description
This course traces the historical development of photography as an art form from 1839 to the present, including the critical analysis of types of photographs and aesthetic movements in photography. Examines photographs for their aesthetic and humanistic values, emphasizing photographs as expressions of the ideas and beliefs of photographers within their cultural and social contexts.This course can be used to meet the Humanities or Humanities/Fine Arts General Education requirement.
